October at Liberty State Park brought less warblers than in September, though plenty moved through. October is prime time for sparrows, with lots of Swamp and Savannah Sparrows stopping in. There were also a few unexpected visitors: Pine Siskins suddenly were seemingly everywhere in the park (and elsewhere) and large flocks could be seen feeding on seeds–especially goldenrod. A Dickcissel (rarely seen in the area and my first time seeing one at LSP) stopped in, as did an Eastern Meadowlark.
