I visited the Dulth area of Minnesota in February to attend the Sax Zim Bog Birding Festival; group trips were taken to the Sax Zim Bog, the North Shore of Lake Superior, and further north. We also had some non-festival time to explore the area. I saw eleven (!) species of bird that were new for me, including three new owls (Great Gray Owl, Northern Hawk Owl, and Boreal Owl).
